In early October, John and I got to go to San Francisco with his grandmother, uncle & sister. We were there Thursday to Monday and had a great time.

Thursday - We arrived and had dinner in Chinatown....so good! Very authentic restaurant with hot tea served with everything.
Friday - We went down to Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf for the day. Had a blast walking around seeing everything. We did not know that it was "Fleet Week" when we arrived and we had the privlage of seeing multiple air shows including the Blue Angels and a Canadian flying team. We also had some yummy sour dough bread, chocolate and viewed Alcatraz from the bridge.

Saturday - More touristy things were on the agenda. We rode the buses around town to go see the painted row of houses where the iconic "Full House" was filmed. We also stopped in some quaint parts of town and shopped and tasted some yummy macaroons. I have never had one and they were de-lish!!

Sunday - My favorite day was Sunday....wine country!!! We drove out to Napa and had lunch at an amazing place called Mustards. John's grandmother turned 80 this fall and we celebrated her birthday there. We then headed out to Rubicon, Beringer & Sterling Vineyards for tastings. The beauty of the wine country is amazing....there is nothing like it.
